Next Meeting: Saturday January 7 at 10:00 AM

Have you ever watched a movie or read a book and imagined yourself the hero? Perhaps you spent a pleasant few minutes visualizing yourself outwitting the terrorist, solving the Da Vinci Code, firing the shot that takes down the Death Star?

Well, now’s your chance to get in on some real action. Your chance to get involved in a grassroots, local effort to save our country from the dark and dangerous path it has embarked upon. Your chance to take small, meaningful, everyday actions that will make a difference.

It’s a new year and a new age in America. What better time to suit up and become a real life action hero?

Join IndivisibleATX and #resist the Trump regime.

Our next meeting will be :

Saturday, January 7
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Fellowship Hall

3500 West Parmer Lane (just off of MoPac)

The church is on the north side of Parmer Lane (your right as you exit MoPac onto Parmer). It has plenty of parking. You’ll enter through the main doors and will immediately be in the fellowship hall.

  1. I was in on the conference call for almost an hour, but did not have an opportunity to ask my question. I understand since there were nearly 30 people!
First – what is wrong with the Travis County Democratic Party? Is it me – or is there really no action plan? What is wrong with the other Democratic Clubs in the metro area? Being new to activism, I would appreciate another’s perspective on this.
Secondly – what is the agenda for Saturday’s meeting?

    1. Hi Lucy! Glad you could join us. The agenda for the Saturday’s meeting will be something like this:

      * Hello! Nice to meet you in person!
      * Organize folks into congressional districts so they can meet/exchange contact info/organize
      * There will probably be some business that needs attending to (we need volunteers in general areas for those not interested in making calls, etc)
      * We usually have a lot of Q&A!

  2. Bummer! I would love to participate, but it’s at the same time as the Texas Tribune’s Symposium on Race and Public Policy. Will there be notes? Any way to get involved afterwards?

    1. Hi Kate!

We are working on a way to share meeting minutes & action items.
We’ll also discuss outcomes as part of next Tuesday’s conference call for those who couldn’t make it!

  3. Love the action. This is too far North for us, though… is this still Austin? All the best for your meeting!

    1. Good point. Austin-based districts extend from San Antonio to Fort Worth, so we need to spread out. You could also plan a meeting just for your district. We’re happy to support you on that.

  4. Thanks for this! I am bringing my 3 year old, too. I’ll have some form of kid entertainment- but this is too important to miss due to childcare.

I’m also posting on Nextdoor (app), but I think only people in my neighborhood will see it. Will other people please post, too?

    Cheers-

  5. This is going to take off like fire. I wanna take a lead on climate change mitigation plans as a specific ask. I’ve already put in a call to Roger Williams office, my representative. They’re going to send me something, a letter or email.

    Thanks for setting this up.

    1. Get ready for a nice “I share your concerns – now take a hike” letter from Roger Williams. One of Rick Perry’s best friends.

    1. Yes please! We were using RSVP system partly to get an idea of how many folks might come!
